City League Run-A-Thon unites community through youth sports
ST. LOUIS, MO (Feb. 26, 2026) – St. Louis City League (City League), a nonprofit that administers middle school sports for charter and independent schools in St. Louis City, is excited to host its 2026 Run-A-Thon. The event will take place on Saturday, April 18 at St. Mary’s South Side High School Track (4701 S Grand Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63111) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., bringing together community members for an evening of fitness and fun.
Athletes of all abilities and ages are encouraged to register, with options to join individually or as part of a school or community team. Participants can collect flat donations or pledges for each lap they complete to support their school’s athletic program or City League’s mission. Awards will be given to the top fundraisers and runners. A DJ, bubble bus, silent auction and sponsor booths will add to fitness festivities.
“This is my favorite event of the year. Not only do we gather all the kids from our schools together in a fun, non-competitive space, but we bring out the neighborhood members that support them,” says City League founder, Allison Cousins. “Building connection between the schools and their communities isn’t just good for our student athletes, it helps strengthen the city’s unity as a whole.”
